EVENTS - Volunteers Week 1-7 June

We've got several conservation volunteer events on during Volunteers Week that you are welcome to get involved in, come along and meet the team and find out what volunteering with our project is all about. No previous experience necessary, everyone welcome.

Wear old clothes, stout shoes/wellies and bring a drink and a snack/lunch.

N.B. Some events require booking, see below for details.

  • Sun 2 Jun. Dunkeld. 10am-2pm.
    Join Mark our SISI project officer and the National Trust for Scotland rangers to pull some invasive Himalayan balsam from the banks of the River Tay. Meet in the parking lot of the Birnam Highland Games Park (PH8 0AD) at 10am.

  • Tues 4 Jun. Perth. 10am-2pm.
    Join Mark our SISI project officer to pull some invasive Himalayan balsam on The Woody Island. Meet at Woody Island on the River Tay, just off Gilsay Place, Perth, PH1 3DG.

  • Tues 4 Jun. Spey Bay, Fochabers. 10am-2pm
    Join James, our SISI project officer, to treat invasive plants on the Spey Bay reserve. We'll be pulling Himlalyan balsam and there may also be some Giant hogweed treatment.  Meet at the Spey Bay Reserve at 10am. BOOKING ESSENTIAL
