EVENT - Invasive Species Week

Conservation Volunteer Day: Giant hogweed Dig
Wednesday 15th May - Tipperty (Nr Ellon, Aberdeenshire)

Join SISI project officers Karen and Al to tackle some Giant hogweed along the Tarty burn, a nasty invaisve plant taking over our riverbanks. The activity will include digging, spraying and stem injecting plants. There will also be an opportunity to help set up a mink monitoring raft.

Over 18's only. No experience necessary! 

This is a practical conservation session so participants should bring old outdoor clothing, gardening gloves and wellies/stout shoes.  N.B. Giant hogweed can cause skin burns, so please ensure you have long sleeved clothes and trousers on. Any required PPE will be provided. 
The event will run from 12 noon to 4pm, so bring drink/snack

Meet:  Auchnacant farm near Tipperty,  (Grid Ref NJ 960 264) at 12 noon.
