Peter Stewart joined us for a two month placement as part of his PhD project at Durham University.

His first month was spent with the River Dee Trust - monitoring Atlantic salmon using rotary screw traps and acoustic tagging, learning about habitat restoration projects in the Dee catchment and getting involved in some of the invasive species management going on in the area. For his second month, Peter joined Project Officer Karen at the Deveron, Bogie and Isla Rivers Charitable Trust and was kept busy with giant hogweed spraying, outreach events and monitoring our hogweed-munching sheep!
