EVENT - Invasive Species Week

People removing invasive plants

Conservation Volunteer Day: Himalayan balsam pulling
Wednesday 15th May - Brechin (Angus)

Come along and join SISI project officer Mark to hand pull some Himalayan balsam, an invasive plant taking over our riverbanks. At lunchtime there will also be an opportunity to help set up a mink monitoring raft.

Everyone welcome (under 18's must be accompanied by an adult), no experience necessary!

This is a practical conservation session so participants should bring outdoor clothing, gardening gloves and wellies/stout shoes.  The event will run from 10am to 2pm, so bring lunch/snacks (you are of course welcome to leave early if you can only help for a couple of hours that is fine!).

Meet: The Inch, off River Street, Brechin DD9 7HQ, at 10am.

In partnership with South Esk Catchment Partnership, Angus Council, Angus Community Payback.
