EVENT - Invasive Species Week

Conservation Volunteer Day: Himalayan balsam pulling
Thursday 16th May - Dunkeld (Perthshire)

Come along and join SISI project officer Mark and National Trust for Scotland rangers on the riverbanks of the Tay to hand pull some Himalayan balsam, an invasive plant taking over our riverbanks. At lunchtime there will also be an opportunity to help set up a mink monitoring raft.

Everyone welcome (under 18's must be accompanied by an adult), no experience necessary!

This is a practical conservation session so participants should bring outdoor clothing, gardening gloves and wellies/stout shoes.  The event will run from 10am to 2pm, so bring lunch/snacks (you are of course welcome to leave early if you can only help for a couple of hours that is fine!).

Meet: The Birnham Oak, off Oak Rd, Dunkeld PH8 0BL at 10am.

In partnership with the National Trust for Scotland and Dunkeld Conservation Group
